American Horror Story

American Horror Story is an American anthology horror television series. There are 5 seasons and each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a disparate set of characters. Every season represent something (problems in everyone's life).

Season 1

 Murder House

This season is about infidelity. It follows the Harmon family. They moved from Boston after Ben, the father, had an affaire with another women because Vivian and Ben wanted to rekindle their relationship. Violet felt in love with Tate, he is a spirit of the house. Anyone who dies there, stays there. Finally the family discovered that the house is haunted by the ghosts of anyone who has ever died there. The family go through many problems in this haunted house, they tried to solve them, but it's impossible.

Jessica Lange as Constance Langdon

She lives next to the Murder House. Constance has three children, Addie, Tate and the disfigured Larry Harvey. During the series Constance felt in a depression and she began to drink. Finally she moved out of the city. We think that she really loves her family, but she turned a little bit crazy at the end.

Evan Peters as Tate Langdon

Tate is one of the main characters in the series. He felt in love with Violet and he tried to help her, because she self-injure. Tate wanted for her to have a better life out of the house and wothout him because he is dead. All he wanted was to make her happy. The police went to his house and kill him for having created a slaughter. We lovee how Tate loves Violet, how he protects her, it's amazing.

Moira is the only ghost house is known that can change shape at will. Women see Moira as an old lady, but men see her as a beautiful young woman. According to Moira, this is because women are given an insight into the true nature of people, while men see only what they want. About this theory, we're agree.

Denis O'Hare as Larry Harvey 

Larry is the Constance's son deformed. He tries to talk to Ben because he wanted that he and his family weren't in the house. He could not talk with him.

Lily Rabe as Nora Montgomery

She was the socialite wife of a doctor and former owner of the Killing House, where he now lives like a ghost. She went to the house because she was looking for his baby.

Sarah Paulson as Billie Dean Howard

Billie Dean Howard is a medium Constance found on Craigslist. She has-been helping Constance for years, trying to get Tate Langdon to move on to the next world. Billie Dean mentions she is in the process of shooting a reality show for Lifetime.

Taissa Farmiga as Violet Harmon

Violet is a teenage girl transported to a new home with her dysfunctional family. Violet is a pretty, clever and highly sardonic teenager. She is described by her mother as "fearless". She possesses a strong intellect and a sharp, witty demeanor. She felt in love with Tate. 

Jamie Brewer as Adelaide Langdon

She is called by Constance "Addie". She was born with Down syndrome, and dreamed of one day becoming a "pretty girl". For us, she didn't know that she was the prettiest, with a giant heart.

Season 2

Asylum

The secons season is about sanity and control. The story takes place in 1964 on the Biarcliff Mental Institution. The patients, many of whom claim to be unjustly institutionalized, include lesbian journalist Lana Winters, accused serial killer Kit Walker, nymphomaniac Shelley and alleged murderer Grace Bertrand. Briarcliff's inhabitants are routinely subject to supernatural and scientific influences, including demonic possession and extraterrestrial abduction. 

They tried to scape, and finally Lana get it and write a book about his stay there.

Jessica Lange as Sister Jude

She is the stern head nun in charge of administration and discipline at Briarcliff Manor. Her character undergoes a major fall from grace, during which her name and title change by the end of the story.

Evan Peters as Kit Walker

Kit is a Briarcliff inmate, accused of the Bloody Face killings. He is generally kind, loving, and mild-mannered, avoiding confrontation with his acquaintance Billy, who subtly taunted him about his marriage. He felt in love with Grace and with Alma at the same time. We think that his story was really confused.

Frances Conroy as Shachath (The Angel of Death)

Her name means "to destroy or ruin". Shachath only appears when she is called and whomever calls receives her "kiss of death", serving much like a grim reaper. We like the idea of The Angel of Dead.

Lily Rabe as Sister Mary Eunice

She's a nun serving at the sanitarium under Sister Jude and a victim of satanic possession. As a teenager, she attended a pool party wherein she was stigmatized by a classic skinny-dipping prank that left her physically and emotionally exposed.

Sarah Paulson as Lana Winters

Lana Winters is a journalist who is committed to Briarcliff Manor under false pretenses by Sister Jude, for trying to expose its darkest secrets. Lana Winters is a lesbian and in a relationship with Wendy. Like Kit and Alma, they must keep their love a secret to avoid social repercussions.

Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Thredson

Oliver is a court-appointed psychiatrist brought to Briarcliff Manor to assess Kit Walker's competency to stand trial. Any woman he found inadequate, he skinned and beheaded, disposing of the corpse and turning the skin into furniture and his "Bloody Face" mask. 

Naomi Grossman as Pepper

Pepper is a microcephalic woman and former performer with Fräulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities that has been committed to Briarcliff Manor. 

Season 3

Coven

This season  is about oppression; specifically, the oppression of marginalized groups and female empowerment. It follows the descendants of the witches who survived the Salem Witch Trials, who are nearly extinct and are in danger once again. A mysterious all-girls boarding school has opened in New Orleans to protect and house young women who carry this unique bloodline, and keep them from the dangers of the outside world. 

The long-absent Supreme, and most powerful witch of her generation, Fiona Goode, arrives to ensure the safety of the Coven, but also to fulfill her own hidden agenda. Fiona's daughter, Cordelia, teaches at the school.

In this season we'll know who is the next Supreme.

Jessica Lange as Fiona Goode

Fiona is the Supreme witch. She's obsessed with eternal youth and despises her aging body. Upon learning she has cancer, she becomes depressed and begins to lose the will to live, but upon meeting the Axeman, she return to her normal self. She has shown several sociopathic traits such as deception and manipulation. 

Evan Peters as Kyle Spencer

He's the charismatic leader of his school's Kappa Lambda Gamma chapter.  Madison, angry and distraught, telekinetically causes the bus to flip over and crash. Her actions result in the death of Kyle and six other members of the Kappa Lambda Gamma chapter. Madison took Zoe to the morgue to resurrect Kyle. They found him literally in parts and to Zoe's horror Madison began to pick the best "bits" of all the dead guys to build Zoe the perfect boyfriend. They resurrected him.. Kyle, later killed his mother.

Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow

She's a quirky and honest witch. Despite her complicated past with Fiona, Myrtle had a very close relationship with Fiona's daughter, Cordelia. Her red hair, is legendarily associated with witches. Myrtle was burned at the stake by Fiona and again by Cordelia.

Denis O?Hare as Spalding

Spalding is a mute butler at Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. He has kept to himself all these years, mostly staying inside the Academy and doing chores. While not doing chores, he has tea parties with his excessive collection of dolls.

Lily Rabe as Misty Day

Misty Day is a witch with extraordinary gifts who lives alone in the swamp. Zoe brought her to the Academy. She spends most of her time meditating, tending to her gardens, and listening to Stevie Nicks. She's a very spiritual woman.

Sarah Paulson as Cordelia Foxx

Cordelia Foxx is the Headmistress of the academy, and later reigning Supreme Witch. She is also the daughter of Fiona Goode. We think that she is a really brave woman and very nice and genereus for being helping these girls.

Taissa Farmiga as Zoe Benson

Zoe Benson is a council member and a witch at the academy. She's a shy, quiet girl and she cannot remain cool under pressure. She's also really brave.

Jamie Brewer as Nan

Nan is an enigmatic student at Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. She felt in love with a cool and popular guy. Her power is read minds.





Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery

Madison is a student witch at the academy. Zoe begins to resent Madison after seeing her narcissistic and sociopathic tendencies such as attempting to kill Misty and showing no remorse for her or Nan's deaths. We think that she's really selfish.




Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie

Queenie is a Council member and a witch at the academy, who shares blood with both the Salem witches and the voodoo tribe. For us, her power is one of the best.





Kathy Bates as Madame Delphine Lalaurie

She was a high-society Creole socialite in 1830s New Orleans. Her love of hosting elegant parties is matched only by her taste for the gruesome torture of her black slaves. Lalaurie's fate is revealed as one worse than death, and one that has not yet ended. She is a very racist woman. She is immortal.





Angela Basset as Madame Laveau

She's the leader of the coven's most powerful rivals in the Dark Arts. Her status in the voodoo practice is equivalent to that of the Supreme Witch.

Season 4

Freak Show

This season is about discrimination, particulary people who are called "freaks"  by the others.
 It follows a struggling freak show led by Elsa Mars. Decades have passed since the public has looked upon freak shows as a form of entertainment, but Elsa dreams of finding a home for her "monsters".
When conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler are taken to the hospital, Elsa sees her chance to finally drum up some business for her sideshow.
We think that Elsa loves all of them, but she prefer to help herself more than her "monsters". She's a little bit selfish.

Elsa Mars is a German expatriate who is managing a Freak Show. Elsa is a tortured woman with a dangerous desire for fame and a chilling secret. And she has more in common with her "monsters" than it appears.

Evan Peters as Jimmy Darling

Jimmy's deformity has been exploited all his life, beginning with paid admission to the spectacle of his birth. He has "lobster hands". Jimmy Darling is the illegitimate son of Dell and Ethel.

Frances Conroy as Gloria Mott

Gloria Mott is a rich woman whose son, Dandy Mott, wishes to join Elsa Mars' freak show. She is determined to keep him away from the troupe at all costs. because of her son, she is forced to do horrible things.

Denis O'Hare as Stanley Spencer

Stanley is a con-artist who is working with Maggie to gain access to the Freak Show. Stanley is a con man with a quick disguise set up for his next scheme. We think that he just want to hurt all of the members in the Freak Show.

Sarah Paulson as Bett and Dot Tattler

Bette and Dot are conjoined twins. The twins share nearly everything but personality. Bette is an enthusiastic girl, she's always really happy. But Dot is more serious, she thinks in a negative way. Sarah Paulson has made an amazing job acting as two conjoined twins.

Kathy Bates as Ethel Darling

Ethel Darling is a bearded woman who performs in the Freak Show. She is the mother of Jimmy Darling and ex-wife of Dell. Her deformity is simply a beard. She's Elsa's second in command, and she tolerates no disrespect to either herself or Elsa.

Finn Wittrock as Dandy Mott

Dandy Mott is the son of Gloria Mott. He finds himself more in common with the performers of Elsa Mars's freak show and aspires to join the troupe. After being denied, his mother hires a twisted clown for his amusement, and he becomes the serial killer's self-appointed protégé.

Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree

Desiree Dupree is a woman with three breasts who is a performer in the Freak Show. She's a prideful woman who despite her unconventional body, her three breast and abnormally large clitoris, enjoys an undaunted and shameless confidence.

Emma Roberts as Maggie Esmeralda

Maggie Esmerelda is a sham fortune teller and partner in crime to Stanley. Initially she arrives at the Freak Show to make a profit but soon begins to rethink her intentions. She really felt in love with Jimmy.




Michael Chiklis as Dell Toledo

Dell is the strongman and barker of the show. He is the ex-husband of Ethel and Desiree and estranged father of Jimmy. He is homosexual.

This series is a fiction series but it also have a real side, every season is about a real problem (discrimination, love, infidelity...) it's another way of see those things. I really enjoyed the series, because is very intriguing and ut confused you. I like that in every season it exists love between many characters, because love is amazing.
